Captain Alfonso Morales Named Interim Chief of Milwaukee Police Department

The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission named Captain Alfonso Morales the Interim Chief of the Milwaukee Police Department during their meeting on Thursday, February 15th, 2018. Chief Morales will take over on February 16th as outgoing Police Chief Edward Flynn retires after ten years from the Department. Morales had previously served as Captain of MPD’s Project Safe Neighborhood-High Value Target program. That program is a Department-wide initiative that is designed to reduce violent crime by focusing enforcement efforts on gun offenders in our community. Morales is 47-years-old, a native Milwaukeean, is married with two children and lives on Milwaukee’s Northwest Side. You can read more of his biography here. Congratulations to Chief Morales!
