Milwaukee Police officers from District Five took a substantial amount of drugs off the streets following a recent arrest of a convicted felon. Officers were on patrol around 12:40 a.m. on January 11 in the 1300 block of W. Hadley Street when they saw a car parked in a no parking zone. The officers approached the car and the driver immediately drove off. A short distance away, the car crashed into the median and the driver began to run. Following a short foot chase, the officers took the man into custody and in his car they found a loaded 9mm pistol, more than 2 grams of cocaine, more than 90 grams of marijuana, and several prescription pills. The suspect arrested is a 25-year-old Milwaukee man and convicted felon with a criminal past dating back to 2009. MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days for charges.
