Major incidents

At about 6:00 pm, a 28 y/o female walked into a local hospital suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim and a friend were sitting in their car located in the area of 5600 N. 62nd Street, when an unknown suspect approached the car, displayed a firearm and announced a robbery. During the robbery the suspect shot the victim and fled from the scene. The victim is expected to survive her injuries.

Milwaukee Police Officers observed the driver of a Silver Mercedes Benz operating the vehicle at a high speed and in a reckless manner. At about 8:32 pm, Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop and instead attempted to elude officers. Officers decided not to pursue the vehicle.

The driver continued driving in a reckless manner and subsequently lost control of the Mercedes and struck a tree at 67th and Marion. The driver, a 22 y/o female received several serious injuries. She was conveyed to a local hospital for medical care. A 2 y/o child was a passenger in the rear seat, and thank goodness, was secured in a child seat. Nevertheless, the child received serious injuries and was also conveyed to a local hospital. Unfortunately, a 21 y/o female, front seat passenger was fatally injured in the accident. The Milwaukee Fire Department provided medical care for the victim, but she died from the accident.

At about 9:10 pm, officers were dispatched to a fatal stabbing located in the area of 4400 N. 91 Street. The investigation reveals that two subjects became involved in a heated argument. During the argument, one of the subjects retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim, a 27 y/o male, died on the scene. The suspect was located and arrested.

At 1:15 am, officers were dispatched to a non-life threatening shooting located in the 1500 block of N. 30th Street. The victim, a 39 y/o male, stated that he was sitting in a vehicle with another subject when a dispute erupted between them. During the dispute, the suspect retrieved a gun and shot the victim. The victim fled from the car and walked to a nearby fire house for medical help. He was conveyed to a local hospital and is expected to survive. MPD continues to search for a suspect.
