At a time when the dangers of law enforcement abound in the news, there is no shortage of committed young people joining the profession.
The Milwaukee Police Department is proud to welcome 68 recruits of Class 1-2012. They will complete 24 weeks of intensive training and when they are finished, will hit the streets of Milwaukee as some of the most professionally trained, elite police officers in the country. They were sworn in by Chief Edward A. Flynn Monday, August 7, 2012
Law enforcement is a calling – and often runs in the family. In this class, 25 members have family in law enforcement, many have multiple family members who chose this profession. Those 25 recruits are related to 38 members of the law enforcement community.
We wish these young, idealistic recruits the best in their training (see them in their first day of class after their swearing-in below) and we pray for their safety during training and when they hit the streets. They are a Force!
