A motorcycle crash that left the cycle passenger in critical condition is under investigation by Milwaukee Police.
About 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2012, the driver of a 2002 Honda motorcycle with a passenger on the back crashed into a car at N. 27th St. and W. Burleigh. The driver of the motorcycle, 24, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating After Revocation. His passenger, a 23-year-old female, is in critical condition at a local hospital. Neither was wearing a helmet.
Preliminary information indicates the motorcycle was traveling southbound on N. 27th St. and entered the intersection on a yellow light, striking a 2002 Chrysler Sebring that was traveling northbound on N. 27th St. and was turning into a gas station lot. The driver of the car and the motorcycle were treated at local hospitals.
The district attorney’s office is expected to begin the review process today.
