MPD Officers Arrest Two Suspects Wanted for Multiple Robberies

Officers of the MPD Robbery Task Force arrested two suspects in connection with five recent north-side business robberies.  On Wednesday, October 11th, around 7:30 p.m. two suspects armed with handguns robbed the Cousins Subs located at 801 E. Capitol Drive.  Investigators and officers learned of a suspect vehicle description.  Officers searched for the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop of a stolen, red Toyota Camry, around 8:00 p.m. at N. Hopkins Street and W. Villard Avenue.  They arrested a 27-year old Milwaukee man and a 25-year old Milwaukee woman.  Recovered from the vehicle were two handguns.  These suspects are connected to four additional north-side businesses since October 9th including one incident during which a gunshot was fired by suspects.  The suspects face potential charges of several counts of Arm Robbery, Recklessly Endangering Safety, and Operating an Auto without Owner’s Consent.  The case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
