A Milwaukee Police Officer is being treated at a local hospital after he was seriously injured this morning when his squad collided with another vehicle.
The incident happened about 11 a.m. in the 3700 block of W. Richards St. when the squad and a minivan collided. Two people in the minivan were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The officer’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening at this time. He was alone in the squad.
The officer was in uniform and driving a marked squad car. He is 40 years old with 19 years of service. He is assigned to District 5.
The Milwaukee Police Department is on the scene and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
