Officers Arrest Suspect Amid House Full of Uncooperative Subjects

Officers assigned to the Neghborhood Task Force – Fugitive Apprehension Unit had been tracking a known subject who was wanted for Intimidation of a Witness for a Homicide case, Aggravated Assault, and stealing a car. The subject was reported to be in the area of 2700 N. 10th Street and Officer Jose Viera and Officer Rachel Goldbeck went to that area to locate and arrest him on November 4.

The officers located the subject and attempted to arrest him, but he ran into a house in that area. Officers Viera and Goldbeck contained the residence and called for backup. District 5 officers responded to the scene. Together NTF officers and District 5 officers entered the residence and found that the house was full of uncooperative occupants associated with the wanted subject. The officers cleared the residence and located the wanted subject hiding in the basement and arrested him. This arrest shows the strong cooperation between the district officers and the NTF that often leads to arrests of wanted criminals in the city.
