When it comes to the business of crime, the nation’s top cops are a force in the search for solutions.
Such was the case at the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Annual Meeting April 26, 2012, with a discussion about the use of firearms in homicides, robberies and aggravated assaults. Six police departments provided information for an in-depth analysis of all of the gun crimes committed during a single week in 2011: Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Austin, San Diego, Philadelphia and Toronto.
