Today we remember Milwaukee Police Officer Roger Sterling. Last watch May 11, 1987. Officer Sterling was killed in the line of duty 25 years ago today. RIP, brother. We thank you for your service. We shall never forget.

A touching tribute today from his family follows:

“Roger it has been 25 years since you lost your life in the line of duty. Your family thinks of you every single day and your fri…ends make sure that we know you are remembered. You were a young, handsome, smart, funny, vibrant 31-year-old police officer with a bright future and two small children when you left us. It is hard to believe that so much time has passed. We love and miss you, and will continue to honor your memory. From your loving sisters and brothers, Mona, Michelle, Randy, Steve, daughter Maggie and grandkids, as well as your extended family and friends.”
