Weekend Shootings Under Investigation

Following are shootings reported to Milwaukee Police this weekend. They are not believed to be related and they are all under investigation at this time.

On 6/16/12 at approximately 12:00 am, in the 2600 block of N 29th St., a 45-year-old man was shot one time in the chest during an attempted street robbery. 2 male suspects fled the scene on foot. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

On 6/16/12, the two victims were inside Club Mix, 906 S Barclay St. in the V.I.P. section. While in the V.I.P area one of the victims exchanged words with the suspect. The victims later left Club Mix and went to a car in the 800 block of S. Barclay. At approximately 2:00 am, while saying good night to some girls, the suspect approached and began to fight with the man that he had exchanged words with. The suspect separated from the victim and shot several times striking the 23-year-old victim once in the lower back and a 24-year-old man in the thigh. Both victims were taken to a local hospital and are expected to live.

On 6/16/12, at approximately 2:15 am, the 2900 block of W. North Ave. a 21-year-old man was shot once in the left leg. Per the victim’s acquaintances the victim had gone off with another man to buy drugs. During the transaction the victim was shot. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to live.

On 6/16/12, at approximately 2:35 am, in the 3300 block of N 9th St., a 23-year-old man was shot once in the left flank and once in the left arm. The victim then walked to friends house and they drove the man to Mt. Sinai. The man was later transferred to a local hospital. The victim is in critical condition. It is unknown what precipitated this shooting.
